Absolute Star Performance Horses
Owned by:
Darcy Dimmitt

I love to try a little of everything. I enjoy riding on trails, especially with friends and my favorite place is on the beach. My main passion is barrel racing, and I'm very excited for my mare's first year running. I have been lucky enough to compete in Snaffle Bit Futurities as well, cutting, reining and working cow horse. I also compete often in sorting and team penning, I used to rope and can't wait to get into it again, and occasionally show western pleasure. I love training for just about any western event. If you're interested in having my help with your horse or you, feel free to email or call me for information.

Smooth Hand Gambler Barn Name: "JR"

Registered 2000 AQHA gelding. JR is very well broke for arena or trail. He has a great mind and good for anyone to ride. He would be great for queen contests, youth western pleasure, halter, 4-H, barrel racing potential and any kind of trail riding. Beautiful movement. Super jog! Great stops, spins, forehand turns, hind quarter turns, side pass, oblique, and drops his head with leg pressure. Never misses a lead. He is now being started on barrels. JR has had a lot of miles on the trail and in the mountains. Great to go out alone or with a group. Ties, trailers, stands for farrier, clips, bathes. No bad habits. Gets along with other horses. UTD on everything. Owner is ONLY selling because she doesn't have time to ride him and so his talent is being wasted.

COSABoomtownPlaygirl Barn Name: "Bunny"

2003 AQHA buckskin mare. Her sire is Boomtown Gambler (deseased) who is by Bueno Chex. I purchased this mare the day she was born. I have been her only owner, and have done all the work on her. She clips, ties, jumps in the trailer, bathes, stands for farrier, easy to catch and gets a long with other horses. She has been used for IHSA western pleasure shows, trail, lessons, sorting, and branding. She also has had some reining training by me. Good stop and turn around. Knows voice commands. This mare is very easy going and would be great for anyone! Let her sit for a year, pull her out, saddle her up and go, she never misses a beat, just as if she'd never missed a day. Also makes a great broodmare. Beautiful, correct babies with the same easy going mind. This is a sacrifice sale, I thought I'd keep her until the day she died. Currently in foal, and due this month, but the foal is not for sale. I will accept payments with 25% down until the foal is weaned.

She really hunts the cow. Multiple time money winner at team sortings. She's still young enough to train for cutting and would be great at it.

Skeeters Gold Legacy Barn Name: "Skittles"

2005 AQHA buckskin mare. Skittles is owned by a very good friend, and I never thought she would offer this mare for sale. She is out of her best mare that passed away while giving birth. I have watched this mare grow up since birth, and she is a very nice horse. Skittles had 45 days professional training as a long 2 year old, but due to major issues in owner's life, her training and riding has been off and on since then. She has lots of potential and is ready for a direction. She could excel in reining, cowhorse, sorting/penning, barrel racing, roping, and just a very good looking trail horse. She even has a good pedigree to add to your breeding program when you're done riding her. See more information and pictures at
Sliding On Top Performance Horses.

Jesanic Olena 2005 Sorrel Quarter Horse Gelding
Jessa Bueno Chick Barn Name: "Jessie"

Jessie was born April 2006 and really has been quite easy. This is one that my sister really would rather keep around, but she just doesn't have the time to put into her training. She is ready to start riding. Last year she was saddled 4 times and rode three of those times. Very easy. She then sat untouched for a year and then threw the saddle on her this year and she acted like it was done everyday. She is an in your pocket mare. She will leave her food for a person. She bathes just fine, and saddles great. Have not had clippers on her since she was a yearling, but was not a problem then. She is about 94% foundation and has dun factor. Her sire is Poco Jessie JB, who stood at the Lewis Ranch until this year. Her dam is Lil Roxy Do, high percentage foundation dunskin, was used as a youth western pleasure/lesson horse all of her life.
$1,500

Tuf Lady Liberty Barn Name: "Liberty"
(Pictured as a 2 year old)
2004 APHA Bay Tobiano. Liberty just got back from a lease that went sour. She is a little on the light side right now, but she's quickly putting the weight back on. She had a filly in 2008. She was supposed to have been broke while on lease, but the deal fell through. Since she's been home, my sister through a saddle on her and she took it like a champ. She hasn't attempted to ride her yet, so she's selling her cheap. Take her home to add her to your broodmare pen, or finish her training and have a good looking, flashy mare to ride. She's big enough to head on, and fast enough to run barrels. Currently back in training, price is subject to change.
$2000

"Cub" Quarter Horse Gelding

2002 quarter horse gelding. Ranch raised. Awesome on the trail. Good for anyone to ride. Quiet. Also used for team roping (head). He is by Ace O'Lena, son of Doc O'lena, and out of a Broadway Doc/Sugar Vandy mare. Cub is not registered. This is a great horse owned and trained by Sara Stark.
$5,000

Independance Passion Barn Name: "Indy"
Photo taken June 30, 2009
April 2008 Dun tobiano filly. Registered APHA. Sired by Lil Bit O Passion, and out of ApacheDansMstDawn. Sire same as above. Dam has had many nice foals. They are quick learners. Easy to handle. Show lots of potential. My sister planned on keeping this filly, but she has moved and needs to cut down on numbers. This filly is super flashy, great confirmation, and good disposition. She hasn't had a lot of handling but she's curious. It wouldn't take long to get her going. I don't have updated pictures right now since the babies are turned out at my parents and very wooly and dirty. Indy is a must see.

Apachedansmst Dawn Barn Name: "Misty"

1986 registered APHA mare. Bay tobiano. 15.0 hands. Misty is broke to ride, but has been used mainly as a broodmare for the last 10 years. She produces big, athletic, beautiful foals. (The dun tobiano filly on this page is her 2008 foal.) We don't need her anymore and would like to find her a good home. She's a great mom! I recently pulled her out of the pasture, saddled her up, and rode her for the first time in 3 years...SHE WAS A DREAM! She carries her head low. Sensitive to commands. Neck reins. Slow jog and lope. Smooth transitions. I rode her in a plain O-ring snaffle. What more could you ask for? This is really a nice mare.

This mare is offered for sale in foal to PBS Starbuck for 2011

"Penny"

1999 grade red roan appy mare. 15.1 hands. Broke to ride. This was my dad's horse, but he was injured and no longer rides. My dad did a lot of "Chris Cox" and "Clinton Anderson" ground work with her. She's been on trail, through water, in the foothills and road side. Smooth gaits. Needs at least an intermediate rider. She needs a job. Easy keeper. Very sweet. Loves attention.
$1500

| *~Horse Training~*
**Colt Starting: From weanling to yearling. Halter breaking-the horse
will be easy to catch, lead and tie. Trailer loading. Picking up
feet. Started to lunge and ready to go into saddle breaking.
**Breaking: For a horse
that has had little to no handling, I spend a good amount of time
working on ground work. In this, the horse will learn respect, along
with skills needed while riding. Anything I want a horse to do while on
him, he should be able to do from the ground. The horse will be lunged
with and without a lunge line. He will know how to move his shoulders
away, and then disengage the hips. When that is mastered, we will move
on to saddling and bridling. He will quickly learn to be ground driven,
where he learns the commands to stop, turn and back up using long lines
acting as reins. After that, it is usually safe to climb on. The
amount of time it takes from start to riding (green broke), depends on
the horse. If a horse has not had any training, an owner can expect to
leave a horse with me for at least 60 days. During the time your horse
is with me, and before you take him home at the end, I highly recommend
lessons with me and your horse, which are free while your horse is in
training.
**Training: This is a
horse-to-horse, owner-to-owner, variation. Training can be anything
from pleasure/trail riding to barrel racing, western pleasure,
cutting/sorting or more. If you're interested in having further
training, email me with information on what you're wanting done, and
we'll plan from there.
**Prices:
~Colt Starting: $200/2 weeks or $350/month
~Breaking: $600/month
~Training: $700/month
*~Riding Lessons~*
**Individual: I will work
with you alone, on your horse or mine, whether you're wanting to better
your riding skills or build your confidence.
**Group: 3 or more people
at one time. Building confidence will be done one at a time in the
round pen, but the others are welcome to watch and listen until it is
their turn. Watching other people's mistakes is the best way to learn,
you can fix it before it's your turn. : )
**You and Your Horse: I
may spend a little time on your horse so that I can feel and learn him.
This helps me know what is happening between you and your horse, and
why you may not be able to get things done with him. Usually, it's a
communication problem. This may also be a training lesson for your
horse. If you're wanting to break your own horse, but not quite sure
you know all the steps, I can help.
**Prices:
~Individual: $35 for one hour, $60 for two hours
~Group: $15 per person/hour
~You and Your Horse: $50/hour
*~I recommend at least once a week lessons. If you're
interested in more days per week, let me know and we may be able to
work out a discount~*

2010 Puppies
Last litter: Puppies were born January 31, 2009. Full
blood Australian Shepherd. Dad is registered but mom is not. Both are
great working and companion dogs. Friendly, but also make good watch
dogs. They're not mean, they have big barks when needed.
~*We had a little bad luck with this litter as they
were born a week early and their lungs were not yet finished
developing. We lost all but 2, and we have placed them in happy, caring
homes, where they will be loved and spoiled. We will breed these two
again since we had beautiful pups, but will most likely skip the next
heat to give momma a break. She is, however, a working/companion dog,
not with us for making babies. We will post when we expect the next
litter.*~
Below are pictures of pups from first litter. We are
expecting puppies late January 2010 with the same male/female cross as
puppies below. Both families are thrilled with their dogs. Full grown
now, and they are beautiful! Great personalities!
